Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer – A Site Visit to Down Hall Country House Hotel
One of the things I love about being a Hertfordshire Wedding Photographer, is meeting new people and visiting new places. When Lucy and Richard contacted me about their wedding in May 2015, we arranged our initial meeting at their beautiful wedding venue, Down Hall Country House Hotel in Hertfordshire. It isn’t a wedding venue I had visited before, so it was great to enjoy a site visit with the couple. I packed my albums and other sample products – and on impulse, grabbed my camera for good measure.
What struck me straight away was the impressive driveway up to the mansion. The mansion dates back to 1322 and set in 110 acres of woodland and landscaped gardens. On crossing the threshold, the luxurious interiors and ornate ceiling continue the grandeur of the setting, while the huge windows allowing in plenty of daylight make for a photographers’ dream.
After discussing details of their big day and looking at all of my sample materials, Lucy, Richard and I took a wonder around the mansion and the grounds – and took a few impromptu engagement-style shots. Engagement Shoots truly are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera ahead of your big day and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. I’m delighted that Lucy and Richard subsequently decided to book me for their Heartforshire Wedding Photography, and I’m so looking forward to their big day in May of this year.
