Mayfair Wedding Photographer – Claridges Hotel and The Savile Club are situated a 30 second walk from each other on Brook Street in the heart of Mayfair. Both are beautiful reminders of an age of elegance. Claridges boasts a stunning ballroom and lobby that was added in the late 1920’s by designer Oswald Milne, a pioneer of the art deco movement. Much of the decoration, including work by Basil Ionides and a beautiful Lalique door panel, remains to this day. It also has the peerless Fera Restaurant under the Michelin-starred chef Simon Rogan. The Savile Club, of course, also boasts it’s own ballroom (images below) and a genuine sense of history in every room. Being a regular Mayfair Wedding Photographer at The Savile Club, I can safely say that it is one of my favourite Unique Venues of London. Both venues were the perfect place to host Laura & Bard’s wedding day.

Laura and Bard first contacted me remotely from their current working base in Hong Kong – they are globetrotters extraordinaire, working in the Press Industry. When they finally made it over to London we met for a chat over coffee and a late breakfast to talk through what was important for them on their big day. Relaxed and informal were the words that kept popping up hence the lack of big styled shots on this occasion – it just wasn’t their thing. Oh, and the importance of the natural story of the day and FAMILY  – grandmothers, especially!
