Hong Kong Pre-Wedding Shoot – London at Sunrise
There isn’t much more of a recommendation, as a London Pre Wedding Shoot Photographer, than when a couple fly half way across the world to have a second photoshoot with you. Candice and Jean Paul are from Hong Kong. We first met at New Year’s Eve 2015 when I shot a very intimate, private engagement shoot for them at Candice’s parents house. I was thrilled to hear from Candice a few months later when they contacted me about coming back to London and meeting for a longer, more extensive shoot around London and it’s fantastic, iconic landmarks.
To get the very best from London, make the most of an empty city and hopefully, catch a beautiful sunrise, we decided to meet at 4.45am, and I arranged to have a black cab pick Candice, Jean Paul, my assistant Charlotte and I up from their hotel in Bromley. We started the shoot at Tower Bridge with the simply stunning blue hour – the time just before the sun rises. You get the ‘golden hour’ as the sun sets, which is generally a photographer’s dream time as the low sun bathes everything in a very soft, golden and ultra flattering light. The morning ‘blue hour’ is no less spectacular, with a real feeling of magic and drama in the air.
With the help of Barry, our black cabbie helping us whiz around London, we managed to take in St Pauls, The Millenium Bridge, Westminster, Embankment, The Mall, Buckingham Palace and last but not least, Piccadilly Circus in around 3 hours – no mean feat by anyone’s estimations!
I’m so pleased that Candice and Jean Paul chose me for a second time to be their London Engagement Photographer – I hope they are as thrilled with the images as I am. A small selection of my favourite images are attached below – Enjoy!
