Wedding Photographer Surrey – Mercure Box Hill – Amy & Elliot

Wedding Photographer Surrey – Amy & Elliot wanted me to be their Surrey Wedding Photographer at one of the many lovely Surrey Wedding Venues – The Mercure Hotel, otherwise known as The Burford Bridge Hotel at the foot of Box Hill. Situated in Dorking, 30 miles from Central London and just 12 miles from Gatwick Airport. Should you need any further enticement, it also has an outdoor heated swimming pool and good rail links to the main London stations! The venue has multiple function rooms, but most weddings opt for the Tithe Barn with a maximum banquet capacity of 220, according to the hotel website. Amy & Elliot had approximately 60 guests and this left plenty of room between the tables for people, myself included, to move around. So, if you are looking for a Wedding Photographer Surrey, drop me a line here: tell me about your wedding plans

Amy, Elliot and I met a few weeks before the wedding for an engagement shoot in Richmond Park. The shoot was awesome, with Amy & Elliot soon relaxing in front of the camera, which is one of the main benefits of an E-shoot (more fantastic reasons to have an engagement shoot can be found here). There were many fantastic shots, but here is my favourite image from that shoot:

Bridal Prep – At the Wedding Venue

I love shooting bridal prep. It allows me to meet members of the bridal party and really ease into telling your story. Amy and her bridal party got ready at the wedding venue itself. Here’s the beginning of Amy & Elliot’s big day!

Groom Prep – The White Horse Pub – Dorking High Street

Groom preparations always seem to follow a different course to Bridal Prep – usually around a visit to the pub!

Wedding Ceremony

The most important part of the day took place in the beautiful Tithe Barn, which was dressed simply and elegantly with fairly lights that twinkled warmly in anticipation of Amy’s arrival. Harry, the ring bearer, getting a loving look and a high five from Amy was one of my favourite moments…

Couples Portraits – The Stepping Stones Walk – Box Hill National Trust

Amy & Elliot really wanted to make time in their day for a quick drive down to The Stepping Stones (it’s 2 minutes from the hotel). It’s beautiful but we happened to have the best weather for weeks and …… it was rammed! So we had to wait for our short stint on the steps and there were people everywhere in the background, but “life is like a box of chocolates” and we made the most of it (quickly) – and nailed some beautiful shots for Amy and Elliot to remember their big day by!
