Savile Club Wedding Photographer – As a London Wedding Photographer, I love discovering a new stunning wedding venue. Having shot there twice in one week, I was absolutely thrilled to add The Savile Club, at 69 Mayfair to my venue portfolio. Established in 1868 by a group of the most distinguished writers and artists of the time, the 18th Century house in the heart of Mayfair boasts friendly staff and impeccable service. Without even mentioning the spectacular décor, painted ceilings and regal staircases, this amazing wedding venue is firmly in my top 10 Recommended London Wedding Venues.

I began my day covering bridal prep with Dessi, her mother, mother-in-law and bridesmaids. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed – Dessi looked absolutely radiant and positively aglow with anticipation of the day ahead. I was ably assisted by Oli Sandler and my second shooter on this occasion, Soven Amatya, began his day covering groom preparations with Mike and his father.

The ceremony took place in the Ballroom, which, while appearing small can actually accommodate up to 200 people. We took advantage of one of the most stunning staircases in London for the formal shots, as well as some couples shots through the day.

Those of you who have looked at more of my work will know that, while I spend 90% of my day discreetly capturing your wedding day as it unfolds, I absolutely love creating big ‘wow’ shots. I take a lot of inspiration from fashion photography and love using lights and flashes creatively, to give you something really special to remember your day by. I endeavour to have you away from your guests for as little time as possible, and one of the reasons I always work with an assistant is so that we can set up these shots, then call you out for the 5 minutes it takes to capture the image and have you back enjoying your day in the company of the people you have invited to share it with. I also use my camera to its fullest, often shooting one pose with several different settings to create really different effects without keeping you away from your party for longer. Dessi and Mike were really enthusiastic about my ideas, and I think we created some amazing images together.
