Middle Temple Wedding Photographer – Middle Temple & Coq D’Argent
Middle Temple Wedding Photographer – As a London Wedding Photographer who has grown up in and around London, it isn’t often that I get asked to shoot at a new venue. At the wedding of Katie and Lawrence, it was my pleasure to discover Middle Temple, which is nestled away, overlooking the River Thames and a few minutes from The Royal Courts of Justice on The Strand.
Shooting once again alongside the awesome, award winning photographer Iain Gomes, Iain’s blog on the day can be found here. For those wanting to understand the role of a second photographer a little better, please click here for a blog post on this subject.
Iain and I began the day at the Temple Court Hotel where Iain covered bridal prep with Katie while I joined Lawrence and his groomsmen, before travelling to the ceremony venue. Middle Temple is a building of huge historical significance – Middle Temple Hall was built between 1562 and 1573 and remains virtually unchanged to this day having survived the Great Fire of London and both World Wars. It is an incredibly beautiful and imposing building – and was even used in the engagement scene of Bridget Jones – The Edge of Reason.
After the ceremony, the bridal party enjoyed champagne in the beautifully manicured gardens before heading to their second, stunning London wedding venue, Coq D’Argent. Set in the very heart of the City of London, Coq D’Argent boasts stunning views out and across London in all directions, and with its private, outdoor space, and exquisite food, it really is a unique London wedding venue, second to none.
Despite the modernity of their wedding breakfast venue, it was lovely to be involved in a day that observed so many of the traditional wedding customs. Katie threw her bouquet, Lawrence flung the garter, as well as all of the traditional first dances.
I’d like to thank Katie and Lawrence, as well as Iain for having me be a part of their London Wedding Photography team. Here are a selection of the images I took on the day. I hope you enjoy looking at them – please do feel free to leave me a comment below!
