bride with veil at eastwell manor

Eastwell Manor Wedding Photographer

As a London Wedding Photographer that often works in Kent it was my pleasure to photograph a wedding at Eastwell Manor, which is one of the best wedding venues in Kent  – an absolutely stunning country house hotel and spa in Ashford, set within 3000 acres of exquisite grounds, and is where I first met Charlotte and Darren while exhibiting at the Eastwell Manor Wedding Fayre in February 2012. They have been together since they were 15 and had already chosen Eastwell Manor to be the venue for their wedding in August 2013 and I was delighted when they booked me to be their Eastwell Manor Wedding Photographer.

We got to know each other better during their Engagement Shoot at Eastwell Manor, where I learned of their shared passion for football. This passion became a main theme and talking point for their wedding with a football freestyler hired as part of the entertainment, as you will see in some of the photos.

It seemed a long time between the Engagement Shoot and the wedding, but finally August 17th, 2013 arrived. Sadly, it wasn’t the sunniest of days, but it was warm and dry – and as an experienced london wedding photographer, my team and I had no problems adjusting to the conditions of the day and still getting some outstanding images. I arrived early at the wedding venue, along with my second shooter, Soven, and assistant Gary, to get set up shots of the venue, bridal party preparations as well as those of the groom and his groomsmen. Without exception, everyone was so welcoming and friendly that the entire experience was a pleasure from beginning to end. Credit also to the venue itself – the staff were efficient and polite, and genuinely, nothing seemed like too much trouble.

After the beautiful ceremony held in the Maids Garden, the bridal party, along with the new Mr and Mrs Latter proceeded to the rear of the manor to watch the awesome skill of the football freestyler, www.colinnell.co.uk and enjoy their cocktails. We managed to fit in some group shots before the bridal party went into the Rose Garden Room for the wedding breakfast and speeches, and the Evening Pavilion was set up for the evening reception, buffet and Hog Roast (yum!).

One of the reasons that I always feel so honoured to be asked to photograph somebody’s wedding is that it truly is one of the most important days in a couples’ life, and, as happened with Charlotte and Darren, we very quickly established a bond that has lasted beyond the day itself. Many thanks again to them and to their families and friends for having me be their Eastwell Manor Wedding Photographer.
