Bexley Wedding Photographer for Kerry & Eric’s intimate Boathouse wedding
As a Bexley Wedding Photographer who lives in Bexley it was my pleasure to photograph the wedding of Kerry and Eric who found me via my website back in 2012 whilst arranging their wedding in Holy Trinity Church, Sidcup, followed by a wedding reception at The Boathouse, Danson Park in nearby Bexleyheath. Kerry and Eric met at work and already had two children when we met to discuss their plans but a little over a year later, they had managed to add a beautiful baby girl to their family and despite her being just weeks old they all looked radiant. I could relate firsthand to their family dynamic, having had a baby girl with my wife at around the same time, though I’m sure I didn’t do as well covering up the bags under my eyes from the broken nights and midnight feeds!
I arrived with my assistant at Kerry and Eric’s home to capture bridal preparations, before travelling to Holy Trinity Church in the heart of Sidcup. It is a stunning venue, built in the late 19th Century, and despite the slightly darker-than-ideal lighting common to many church venues, this was no issue and I captured some wonderful moments throughout the ceremony. The grounds are also beautiful and provided a perfect backdrop to the group photos. The wedding party were great fun to work with – we ended up giving some guests a lift to the reception venue at The Boathouse, nestled by the lake in Danson Park. We were lucky with the weather and were able to take advantage of the park to shoot some beautiful, romantic shots of the happy couple away from the party getting into full swing.
As a Bexley Wedding Photographer being behind the camera gives me quite a special perspective on what is a significant and very intimate day for a couple. What really struck me whilst providing the photography was that, while it was of course about Kerry and Eric, it was also about their children and them all as a family. I’d like to thank Kerry and Eric for giving me the honour of being their Danson Boathouse Wedding Photographer in Sidcup and Bexleyheath respectively (both in the London Borough of Bexley).
