Best Kent Wedding Photographer – Cooling Castle Barn – Katie & Muz

Back in May of this year, I had the pleasure of offering my Best Kent Wedding Photographer services to the brilliant Sam and Chris for their big day at Bradbourne House (which you can read about here). When Chris’s sister, Katie contacted me about her big day at Cooling Castle Barn in November it was lovely to know that it had come from a personal recommendation and that I would have the opportunity to see Chris, Sam and their families again!

Cooling Castle is a Stunning Kent Wedding Venue. The castle was originally built in the 1380s, with the timber framed barn constructed in the 17th Century which is now a dedicated wedding and events venue. With its beautiful beams and exposed brickwork, it provided the perfect canvas for this fantastic celebration of Katie and Muz’s wedding.

I began my day at Katie’s bridal preparations. The grey, misty November day did nothing to dampen Katie’s spirits, and she seemed incredibly relaxed when we arrived! The warm environment of the barn, with a string quartet setting the scene for Katie and Muz’s families, some of whom had travelled from Cyprus to be with them on their big day seemed in stark contrast to the less than warm weather, though the rain did hold off for all of the group shots and some stunning couples shots outside.

It’s always a humbling honour to be asked to document such a special moment for a couple, and it was an added pleasure to be among friends. I’d like to thank Katie and Muz for choosing me to be their Best Kent Wedding Photographer – and to Sam and Chris for recommending me. Special thanks also to Sabrina Bou, my assistant on the day. I work really hard throughout a wedding day, so assistants that aren’t daunted by the task of keeping up are worth their weight in gold!
