South Bank Engagement Photographer
South Bank Engagement Photographer – As a London Wedding Photographer, I often get asked to do Engagement Shoots. I love engagement shoots on two levels – first it allows me to get to know a couple and spend a really fun few hours in their company, and second we get to do that wondering around London, which is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in the world!
I met Varsha and Aly at the ExCel Wedding Fair in September and on a cold Tuesday in October, we met at the North end of the Millennium Bridge just as the sun was setting over the horizon. There’s a reason that the time before sunset is called ‘golden hour’, and that’s because it gives everything a really beautiful, warm light so we got cracking straight away! Unfortunately, there wasn’t anything warm about this chilly October evening, and with my trusty assistant Oli manning the lights, we shot along and around Millennium Bridge with the backdrop of St Pauls, before moving along the South Bank towards City Hall. I could honestly shoot for weeks in just a couple of hundred yards around this area, there are creative corners and interesting angles everywhere you look, and I had to ignore several opportunities in the name of keeping moving and keeping warm!
